216 Nurses Screened for Nurse Deployment Project in Kalinga

TABUK CITY, Kalinga, Dec. 5 (PIA)  - – Around 216 registered nurses applicants here joined the initial examination for the hiring of Registered Nurses for Health Enhancement and Local Service (RN Heals) program  now called the Nurse Deployment Project 2014.

Kalinga Center for Health Development (CHD) Chief Dr. Bernadette Andaya said the examination composed of aptitude and technical tests is the first screening for the hiring of RN Heals where 50 slots are allotted for Kalinga.

The examinees  she said are identified by their test examination numbers to avoid any possible biases in the selection process. Those who will pass will undergo final interview and assessment by the Regional CHD Office.

CHD CAR she said would provide the final list of those who will be hired.

“Successful applicants would be given a two year employment contract renewable every six months depending on their performance evaluation,” said Andaya.

They will be hired as Nurse 1 and will be counted as government service providers through a contract entitling them to receive wages leveled at Salary Grade 11, which is more than P18,000.00 monthly, she said.

According to Andaya, said nurses will be receiving their salaries from the Department of Health.

A certificate of completion  will  be issued for those who would complete the duration of their contract.

The nurses will be deployed in areas needing more health service providers such as the level 1 hospitals or the  district hospital in the province, barangay health stations, rural health units and birthing homes around the province, Andaya said.
